The PBHA Student Development Coordinator assumes primary responsibility for a variety of both programmatic and administrative tasks relating to student development. Responsibilities include: designing and executing Public Service Academy trainings and other training for PBHA volunteers, directors and officers, completing all administrative tasks relating to the Stride Rite undergraduate and postgraduate fellowship programs; developing instruments for and overseeing the process of obtaining assessment data; completing all administrative tasks related to criminal background checks; and overseeing the design and maintenance of the PBHA Database and volunteer records.
Ariel graduated from Harvard with a Massachusetts Teaching Certificate through the Undergraduate Teacher Education Program. Ariel was very involved with PBHA as a program director and an officer. Ariel has also maintained a one-on-one mentoring relationship with a young woman she worked with during her first summer with the PBHA camps. Ariel has worked as the first Program Manager for Strong Women, Strong Girls. Ariel is completing a masters’ degree in Instructional Design at UMass Boston. She provides guidance in training design, project and time management, meeting and reflection facilitation, networking, event planning, classroom management, and several other areas.Â
