Daniela Castro ’22
Mentoring Programming Group Officer
Daniela has been a member of PBHA since her first year of college, serving as a volunteer and co-director for the Boston Refugee Youth Enrichment (BRYE) Tutoring Program. She views her work as the most grounding and impactful way to advocate for the low-income and immigrant communities she hopes to empower. Strengthened by this mission, as Mentoring Programming Group Officer she works alongside the directors for the in-school and after-school mentoring programs to support their activities, while offering her creative input to strengthen the extent of educational access and enrichment for each program. Outside of PBHA, she studies Sociology, is co-advocacy chair for Act on a Dream, and writes poetry to guide her interests towards a deeper awareness of herself and the society around her.
