Guest Speaker and Awardee
Geoffrey Canada, Ed. M. ‘75, will speak.
Friday, October 23rd from 6-7pm at Harvard’s Memorial Church.
Doors open at 5:30.
Canada is the President and CEO of the Harlem Children’s Zone (HCZ) in New York. New York Times Magazine describes HCZ as “one of the most ambitious social experiments of our time.” Signed copies of Whatever It Takes: Geoffrey Canada’s Quest to Change Harlem and America, by Paul Tough, will be available for purchase following the lecture.

Follow up this inspiring lecture by learning how YOU, too, can get involved in a public interest career!
Students, alumni, and the public is also invited to a Saturday’s Public Interest Careers Panel from 2:30-4:00pm in the Fong Auditorium, Boylston Hall, Harvard Yard. Leaders in various public interest fields will speak about their careers and related social issues, followed by an opportunity for students and alumni to talk to the panelists. This is a collaboration between PBHA-A, the Harvard Graduate Council (HGC), and the Center for Public Interest Careers (CPIC).
