Each student-adult pair participating in Elderly 1-2-1 meets individually to foster friendship. Pairs meet at their own convenience and participate in mutually meaningful activities ranging from playing games and reading books to sharing stories. All meetings will occur virtually this semester either through phone calls or Zoom.
PBHA's Elderly 1-2-1 strives to provide one-on-one companionship to aging residents of Cambridge and to educate the community on the effects of aging by fostering relationships of reliability, continuity, and trust between students and senior citizens.Each student-adult pair participating in Elderly 1-2-1 meets individually to foster friendship. Pairs meet at their own convenience and participate in mutually meaningful activities ranging from playing games and reading books to sharing stories and taking walks around Cambridge.
