This fall, Partners Empowering Neighborhoods will be holding classes through Zoom. As in the past, we will provide comprehensive teaching training to all new volunteers, and no prior teaching experience or language knowledge is needed. Class scheduling will be very flexible as we plan to offer classes Monday-Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings. Please reach out to pen@pbha.org with any questions!

PBHA’s Partners Empowering Neighborhoods (PEN) works with adult immigrants across Boston to develop English language proficiency. The curriculum covers the fundamentals of reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Through participation in PEN, students learn the skills they need to adjust to and succeed in their new environment in English.
