PBHA’s South Boston Big Sibling pairs college-age mentors with children ages 8-13 living in South Boston’s Mary Ellen McCormack and D Street housing developments. South Boston Big Sibling creates a safe space in which young people can take risks, set personal goals, and foster awareness of themselves and their community.
Mentors and mentees meet each Friday evening for individual or group outings, including program-wide field trips throughout Boston.
South Boston Big Sibling partners with PBHA’s South Boston Afterschool and South Boston Outreach Summer programs to establish year-round, coordinated support for young people in South Boston.
