Last Monday (December 5th) PBHA hosted its annual Faculty and Staff Tea. PBHA students invited their faculty to the Phillips Brooks House to both appreciate their faculty as well as showing them the organization that means a lot to them. The event provides a space for students to share their experiencs in PBHA with faculty and staff and a mutually beneficial opportunity for faculty and staff to talk about their perspectives of service and learn ways to support and partner with PBHA.
Remarks were given during the tea by Professor Tim McCarthy, a Lecturer on History and Literature, Adjunct Lecturer in Public Policy, and Director of the Sexuality, Gender, and Human Rights Program at the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy. Professor McCarthy spoke about the importance of service, reflected on his experiences with PBHA, and ways that faculty and staff’ can support their students developement.
