Harvard Square Homeless Shelter (HSHS) and Y2Y Harvard Square are so excited to continue offering our own form of hospitality and warmth to our guests this spring. But in order to operate our shelters throughout spring break, we will need your help.

Our shelters are staffed primarily by weekly, student-volunteers from Harvard and surrounding schools. But over Harvard’s Spring break (03/09 – 03/19), the majority of our regular volunteers are away from the Cambridge area. And so, over Spring Break, we turn to our community members and students staying on campus to help staff our shelters for our guests.

If you’ll be in the Cambridge area anytime between March 9th and March 19th, we could really use your help as a volunteer!

We love having both individuals and groups sign up for these shifts! If you have any questions, please reach out to Y2Y and/or HSHS with your questions.

Again, you can sign up with Y2Y here and HSHS here!
