Daniela Castro ’22

Community Organizing Chair

Daniela has been a member of PBHA since her first year of college, serving as a volunteer and co-director for the Boston Refugee Youth Enrichment (BRYE) Tutoring Program. She views her work as the most grounding and impactful way to advocate for the low-income and immigrant communities she hopes to empower. Strengthened by this mission, as Community Organizing Chair (COC), she works to build community partnerships, advocate for community issues, and encourage programs to center community in their mission and practice. Outside of PBHA, she studies Sociology, is Co-Director of Act on a Dream, loves mentoring young students, plays guitar, and writes poetry to guide her interests towards a deeper awareness of herself and the society around her.
