Announcing PBHA's 2016 Outstanding Alumna and Outstanding Supporter

PBHA is proud to announce that on October 29th, Maria A. Salas-Mendoza, Judge for the 120th Judicial District Court of Texas, will receive our award for 2016 Outstanding Alumna, and Robert Hurlbut, former Executive Director of the Cambridge Community Foundation, long-term adovcate for PBHA programming and current member on PBHA's Y2Y Harvard Square advisory network, will be named our 2016 Outstanding Supporter during the Alumni Luncheon as part of PBHA's Alumni Weekend.maria salas mendoza The Honorable Maria A. Salas-Mendoza currently serves as the District  Court Judge for the 120th Judicial District Court, in El Paso, Texas.  She is a former officer of the El Paso Bar Association, and currently serves as a Board  Member for the Judicial Section Council for the State Bar of Texas, and the  Texas Women Lawyers. Judge Salas-Mendoza is devoted to  projects that serve the community, her projects include working with  youth who are aging out of the foster care system, assisting female probationers with obtaining professional clothing, and supporting local food pantries. 


  bob-hurlbut Bob Hurlbut was the Executive Director of Cambridge Community Foundation, during his time he grew the foundation from $6 million to $33 million, and forged dozens of new partnerships in his tireless effort to build community and make Cambridge a place of opportunity for all. Thanks to Bob, the Cambridge Community Foundation now collaborates with many well-respected institutions and social service organizations in the area. Before assuming the executive directorship of the Cambridge Community Foundation, Bob was the headmaster of Parks School in Brookline and a teacher at Newton High School. Bob has been a long-time advocate for PBHA programming and currently serves on PBHA's Y2Y Harvard Square advisory network. To join us at this year’s Alumni Luncheon as we honor these accomplished alumni, please RSVP today.
