PBHA's Harvard Muslim Youth Program (HMYP) unites Muslim high school students (ages 14-17) with college-aged mentors for mentorship, spiritual engagement, and self-empowerment. In addition to taking field trips, the program teaches students techniques for academic success in a variety of subject areas and helps mentees to navigate the college admissions process. HMYP aims to foster meaningful relationships between college mentors and high school students through exploration of shared identity as Muslims in the United States. The program focuses particularly on empowering the immigrant community in the Cambridge area, particularly those living in the Rindge Towers.
