Announcing PBHA's 2016 Outstanding Alumna and Outstanding Supporter
PBHA is proud to announce that on October 29th, Maria A. Salas-Mendoza, Judge for the 120th Judicial District Court of Texas, will receive our award for 2016 Outstanding Alumna, and Robert Hurlbut, former Executive Director of the Cambridge Community Foundation, long-term adovcate for PBHA programming and current member on PBHA's Y2Y Harvard Square advisory network, will be named our 2016 Outstanding Supporter during the Alumni Luncheon as part of PBHA's Alumni Weekend. The Honorable Maria A. Salas-Mendoza currently serves as the District Court Judge for the 120th Judicial District Court, in El Paso, Texas. She is a former officer of the El Paso Bar Association, and currently serves as a Board Member for the Judicial Section Council for the State Bar of Texas, and the Texas Women Lawyers. Judge Salas-Mendoza is devoted to projects that serve the community, her projects include working with youth who are aging out of the foster care system, assisting female probationers with obtaining professional clothing, and supporting local food pantries.
